Since April 15, from Khartoum to other states in Sudan, fighting has erupted, leaving many in life- threating situations. Amidst the violence, MSF teams have decided to stay in Sudan and provide support to those in need. Our teams have been providing urgent medical care to those wounded in North Darfur, donating medical supplies to health facilities in Khartoum, and conducting emergency activities in Aljazzera state.

The support doesn't end there - MSF has maintained its efforts to assist vulnerable communities, including refugees from neighbouring countries who have found themselves trapped in another stream of violence.

In Al-Gederaf state, our operations remain in action to providing healthcare to Ethiopian refugees and local communities in Tinedba and Um Rakuba refugee camps.

Over the past years in Um Rakuba camp, MSF teams have offered essential medical care, including sexual and reproductive health and mental health services in addition to providing referrals to higher-level health facilities, health promotion, advocacy, and emergency preparedness. Due to the recent fighting, our activities in the camp have been impacted by supply issues and consequently admission criteria have been restricted.
