MSF provides assistance to 18,000 Congolese refugees in Nyakabande holding camp

Since early April 2022, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams have been providing emergency medical and humanitarian assistance to more than 18,000 Congolese refugees in the Nyakabande holding camp, following attacks by the M23 rebel group in the North Kivu region (Democratic Republic of Congo). Despite our intervention, the needs remain big for these people who are waiting to return to their country. Our activities includes : a health center with primary health care on an outpatient basis (malaria, respiratory diseases …), SGBV, mental health support, nutrition and prenatal consultations, 22-beds IPD, building of tents, latrines and distribution of NFI.
