ver the past few weeks, our team in Aboutengue camp hosted performances by Clowns Sans Frontières, bringing moments of joy and laughter to children and adults alike. The camp shelters around 45,000 Sudanese refugees who fled Darfur, 70% of whom are children.
The Clowns Sans Frontières show, organized in partnership with Médecins Sans Frontières Switzerland, is part of our mental well-being support activities for refugees. Since the beginning of 2024, we have provided 2,283 consultations focused on mental health and psychosocial support in this camp.
MSF has been present in Aboutengue camp for nearly a year and a half, delivering critical medical and humanitarian assistance. Our activities include maternity and paediatric care, treating children for malnutrition, and managing water and sanitation services, which cover distributing the majority of the camp's water supply.
