Sangour and Ajwal: Critical unmet needs among displaced people in White Nile State.

Sudan's White Nile State is receiving increasing numbers of people fleeing conflict. Many are South Sudanese who have been living in Khartoum and other parts of the country. Ten camps that already housed more than 250,000 people, mainly women and children, are now hosting more than 140,000 new arrivals. Truckloads of people arrive daily. Since 6 June, MSF teams have been providing primary and maternal care and water, sanitation and hygiene activities to displaced people in three camps: Um Sangour, Khor Ajwal and Alagaya. The health situation is critical. More than half of the patients in MSF clinics are under five years old, and an increasing number of children are in critical condition with complications from measles and malnutrition.
