World Refugee Day (June 20) pays tribute to the resilience of refugees who have been forced to flee their home countries due to conflict, persecution, or disaster. It raises awareness about their rights and the challenges they face, while also advocating for their protection and inclusion. The day encourages empathy and support from governments and communities worldwide. 

MSF has been providing health services in Dadaab camp for most of its 32-year existence. Currently, MSF provides care for over 100,00 refugees at Dagahaley Camp. 443 MSF refugee staff play a big role in MSF objective to reduce suffering from diseases, disease outbreaks and prevent death among the refugees living in the camp, including the host communities. They are part of teams providing comprehensive healthcare, including basic and specialist care; responding to emerging emergencies, disease outbreaks and humanitarian needs through three health posts and a 90-bed hospital.

Refugees in Dagahaley are proving that resilience and solidarity are key to life in the camp.
