The International President of MSF Dr Christos Christou visit to Yemen

MSF’s International President (IP) Dr Christos Christou visited Yemen on the 21st of February as the first visit in his capacity as International President of the international medical humanitarian organization.
During his journey in Yemen, Dr Christou visited MSF’s projects in the different Yemeni governorates and he met MSF staff and listen to the main health and humanitarian needs of the patients supported by MSF.

Dr Christou also met Yemeni authorities in Aden and Sanaa and discuss ways of enhancing collaboration to bring better support to the people of Yemen and to address the main challenges facing the organization in the provision of humanitarian assistance to people in need across Yemen.

MSF first started working in Yemen in 1986 and has been present in the country continuously since 2007. In 2022, our teams are in 12 hospitals and provided support to another 16 health facilities across 12 governorates.
