MSF has been partnering with two local NGOs in Russia - “Steps Fund” (Moscow) and “Humanitarian Action” (St Petersburg) since 2020. MSF in collaboration with “Steps Fund” and “Humanitarian Action” reaches out to the most vulnerable groups - including migrants, homeless, undocumented people, drug users, sex workers - and support their access to primary healthcare with the focus on HIV and Hepatitis C prevention, treatment and care. In the recent few months, MSF scaled up its assistance to partner organisations in St Petersburg and Moscow ensuring continuation of HIV and Hepatitis C treatment for people displaced by the conflict in Ukraine and other people in need. We have seen an increase in the number of people from Ukraine living with HIV and hepatitis C in need of refills for their medicines.
