Hepatitis C remains a significant public health challenge in Armenia, affecting many people, particularly key populations such as MSM, PWIDs, and prisoners. While the disease is curable, access to testing and treatment has often been limited due to financial, logistical, and awareness-related barriers. In response, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) partnered with Arshakunyats Health Center in 2023 to launch a dedicated Hepatitis C project aimed at making care more accessible.

A key component of this project is the Key Population Unit, which follows a "one-stop-shop" model, allowing patients to receive testing, diagnosis, consultations, and treatment in a single location, free of charge. This initiative began in April 2024, and since then, it has helped many patients navigate their journey to recovery more easily and effectively.

Since April 2024, the Key Population Unit within the polyclinic has been providing free essential healthcare to all, without discrimination or stigma. Its goal is to encourage more people to seek care and contribute to Armenia’s national goal to eliminate Hepatitis C.
