Horrendous conditions for people in quarantine - Vathy camp, Samos

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic and an outbreak in Vathy camp, Samos, where there have so far been over 100 positive cases, there is still no appropriate medical response plan in place. There are two army doctors and three nurses in the camp responsible for 4,500 people, some of whom have serious medical conditions. The quarantine conditions in Vathy for those who have tested positive to COVID are deplorable: people are locked in dirty containers most of whom are sleeping on the floor. In some containers the floor is completely broken and has holes. People in quarantine have very limited access to basic services such as medical care. The food that is being served to people in quarantine is often inedible or moldy. The conditions are simply unacceptable and inhumane.
