Inktober is a month long art challenge created by an artist named Jake Parker that is focused on improving skill and developing positive drawing habits. The challenge is free and open to the general public; it has gained popularity over the years around the world and in the MENA region. During the month of October anyone participating in the Inktober challenge creates an ink drawing and posts it online. This October, MSF Lebanon is collaborating with missions in Egypt and Lebanon to use this challenge to raise awareness of a number of key operational medical messages linked to Sexual Violence, Mental Health, Access to Care and Antibiotic Resistance as well as institutional messages focusing on recruitment and MSF identity. Lebanese and Egyptian artists have been given the freedom to interpret these messages creatively and uniquely, their illustrations will be posted on social media, with captions provided in Arabic and English.
