I come to share with you a very beautiful piece. It is a poem written from on board Geo Barents, the MSF Search and Rescue (SAR) vessel on the Central Mediterranean Sea route.
By the end of February, we had a critical rescue, where one women died and also we recovered another dead body. Nejma, the MSF cultural mediator on board, had to tell the partner of the deceased women that she had died.
She wrote a poignant poem about it that we have posted on our SAR website and tomorrow on our X account, @MSF_Sea.
