The General Assembly of an MSF Association is its highest governance event.

Association members are responsible for ensuring that MSF fulfils its purpose and does so according to our core principles. The GA is their opportunity to protect MSF’s identity - what we do and how we do it, as well as influence the future direction of the organisation.

The GA is the annual moment of accountability where members assert their ownership of the organisation. The Board presents members with an overview of the year’s activities, and the funds MSF received and spent. After this report at the GA, members have the opportunity to ask questions and express their opinion on the Board's governance, before they vote to approve the Board’s work.

Association members also elect new Board members, pass motions, and discuss the most relevant issues MSF is facing.
