(DOC) I am a Sudanese refugee from Jebel Moon / Terres Brûlées (AE/PR)

20 years after the war started in Sudanese Darfur, refugees and Chadian communities living in eastern Chad still struggle to survive, supported by a shrinking humanitarian response. Faiza, Ishaq, Nahla, Mahamat and Ibrahim all fled violence in Darfur. For the past years, they have lived in harsh conditions in refugee camps in Guereda district. The documentary “I am a Sudanese refugee from Jebel Moon” recounts their stories of exile and violence from Darfur to Chad. Over the years, MSF teams have been responding repeatedly to the waves of violence and displacement in the area. In 2022, they helped to improve access to medical care, safe water hygiene and sanitation in refugee camps in Guereda district.
