Sudan's Silent War on Women

Naomi Samuriwo, a midwife who recently returned from her assignment in Sudan, where she worked in South Darfur Nyala project. In her testimony, Naomi provides a compelling account of the impact of the conflict on women in Sudan. She speaks about the sexual violence experienced by some of the patients she treated, and the profound toll that years of conflict have taken on women across all age groups.

Naomi also describes the important role of MSF’s programs in creating a safe environment where women can share their experiences, learn about sexual and reproductive health, and receive support from one another and from MSF health care workers.
