Medical needs of Venezuelan migrants overwhelm the capacity of the Colombian health system

MSF has expanded its activities in Colombia, in the border departments of La Guajira, Arauca and Norte de Santander to facilitate access to health services for Venezuelan migrants, Colombian returnees and the population who have no connection to the health system. Migrants in Colombia cannot access the basic and specialized health services they require. Difficulties in accessing long-term planning methods for Colombian and Venezuelan women also persist, especially in dispersed rural areas.

This comms initiative intends to show, through the life stories of some of the patients assisted by MSF projects, the health needs of Venezuelan migrants and the difficulties they face in accessing these services in Colombia.
