Burkina Faso - Djibo. Access to healthcare for local and displaced populations

Burkina Faso is in the grip of an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, following a severe deterioration of the security situation over the past two years. More than 840,000 people have been displaced. The healthcare system has been gutted. With the seasonal hunger gap and the peak malaria season looming ahead, MSF teams are worried that the situation will deteriorate further, particularly affecting young children.
Access to basic health care in the country for local and displaced populations is becoming more and more difficult.
In Burkina Faso, the context is now even more challenging because of the COVID-19 pandemic. With more than 500 cases, Burkina Faso is one of the most affected countries in Africa.
