MSF facilitates MoH access in communities after primary health suspension due to pandemic

Since the beginning of the declaration of the coronavirus emergency in El Salvador, health institutions in El Salvador had suspended their outpatient consultations and reduced other activities to focus on the battle against covid-19. During this period, inhabitants of communities in San Salvador have suffered from the discontinuity of medical services and with it, the abandonment of community work.
After an economic reopening that brought with it the resumption of medical services and community activities, we have facilitated the entry of health personnel from the Health Unit of Concepción and the Community Team (ECO) La Naval in the communities of Concepción and Iberia (San Salvador) for the development of vaccination days in areas stigmatized as red zones for these institutions.
