In Eswatini, February is celebrated nationally as the month of love, a special occasion in the entire country. It also serves as a good window for our health promotion team to raise awareness about the services provided at MSF clinic, with a focus on sexually transmitted diseases.

The clinic is located in Eswatini’s largest city and key commercial hub, Manzini. It is named Sitsandziwe (meaning "We Are Loved" in the local language), a name chosen collectively by our staff and community members to reflect the inclusive, supportive environment we strive to provide at the facility.

On February 14th, which coincides with Valentine’s Day, we mark one year since the official opening of Sitsandziwe Clinic. Over the past year, our team has been providing comprehensive sexual health services, with a strong emphasis on mental health, to a wide range of marginalized communities. These include adolescents, young women, LGBTQ+ individuals, factory workers, and university students. Despite the stigma often associated with accessing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) care, many people from these communities—especially young individuals —prefer a facility that prioritizes confidentiality and offers a supportive, respectful environment where they feel safe.
