MSF mobile clinics in Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia (South-east of Ukraine)

According to the Ministry of Social Policy in Ukraine, there are more than 4.6 million internally displaced persons who have been forced to leave their homes due to threats to their lives, constant shelling, and damage to humanitarian and medical infrastructure in their cities and villages.

Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions became the first part of Ukraine to shelter many internally displaced persons. According to local officials, temporary housing was arranged for people in boarding houses, dormitories, and schools. Many shelters are located far from cities. Therefore, access to medical facilities is limited. MSF runs mobile clinics to support people who struggle to access existing medical facilities.

The team consists of a therapist, a nurse, a psychologist, and a social worker. MSF mobile clinics visit shelters for internally displaced people to provide first medical and first psychological aid, providing medicines and medical supplies. It is especially important at this time of the year, as we approach the winter where there can be increases of respiratory and other seasonal diseases.
