MSF teams are currently preparing kits of medical equipment and medicines from its logistics bases, in particular in Brussels and Bordeaux, which will pass through neighboring countries and then enter Ukraine. We also buy goods and equipment in Poland to build kits for local associations that have already provided us with a number of essential inputs that they lack.

MSF has been present in Ukraine for many years to provide care for populations affected by tuberculosis and HIV. We have therefore already retained staff on site, both nationally and internationally. Today, in the context of war, we have had to suspend these programs and reorient our activities to meet the medical needs generated by a large-scale military offensive. From a routine medical project, we switch to an emergency device. We therefore need to adapt our human resources and call on emergency workers to be able to work with the populations who are victims of the conflict in the most affected areas. This is our priority right now.
