Mother and Child Hospital, Houban, Yemen

MSF is running lifesaving medical activities on both sides of the frontlines in Taiz governorate here most hospitals are no longer functional due o the conflict.

In 2015, MSF started a crisis response project at the mother and child hospital in Al Houban. The hospital provides services in ER, Maternity for High Risk cases, Pediatrics IPD, Neonates IPD, ITFC, Respiratory Unit, CTU, EPI, and Family Planning.

Trauma Center (Stabilization of all-ages traumatic cases and referral by ambulances if needed) has been merged into the ER inside the hospital. MSF also has Water Distribution Point for IDPs and most vulnerable host families in Wadi Ameer Area.

Over the six year, the MSF medical team gave 31,811 patients care in the obstetric urgent clinic, over 15,467 neonate were admitted, assisted 42,821 deliveries, treated 116,195 malnourished children, given care to 49,462 patients in the emergency room and treated 66,796 patients in the trauma center.
