Since October 2018, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is providing chronic wound care and general essential surgeries at Bar Elias Hospital, in the Bekaa. In 2020, MSF plans to start providing as well as reconstructive plastic surgeries for post-burn and post-accident injuries in the hospital. Through its free of charge services, MSF aims to facilitate the access of the most vulnerable populations to specialised healthcare services with emphasis on the medical needs that are not covered by other actors or are not easily accessible.

منذ تشرين الأول 2018، تقدّم منظمة أطباء بلا حدود خدمات رعاية الجروح المزمنة والعمليات الجراحية العامة غير الطارئة في مستشفى بر الياس، في البقاع، شرق لبنان. في العام 2020، ستبدأ المنظمة أيضًا بتقديم خدمات رعاية الحروق ما بعد العلاج. من خلال خدماتها المجانيّة، تسعى منظّمة أطباء بلا حدود إلى تسهيل وصول الفئات الأكثر حاجة إلى خدمات الرعاية الصحية المتخصصة، مع التركيز على القطاعات الطبية التي لا تغطيها الجهات الطبية الأخرى أو التي لا يمكن الوصول إليها بسهولة بسبب ارتفاع كلفتها.
