Swaziland XDR TB treatment

Responding to the growing number of XDR TB cases in Swaziland, MSF advocated for the introduction of new TB drugs in 2014. In 2015 MSF started treating XDR TB patients using Bedaquiline and Delamanid in combination with repurposed drugs, a major change for these patients.
We review the preliminary outcomes of implementing these drugs in Swaziland with Dr Simon Blankley, a doctor at the MSF DR-TB project at the Moneni National TB Referral Hospital in Swaziland.
