Leonid is 53 years old, from Minsk, in-patient in ICU of RSPC PT (TB Institute), XDR TB, infectious, used to be in the 3rd unit, but was transferred to the ICU because of suicidal thoughts, he is not allowed out of ICU. Before, he worked as a carpenter at the Belarussian TV and Radio company. He had been married and then divorced and has a daughter. He has no idea where they live nowadays. He hasn’t been in contact with his daughter for 15 years. He was diagnosed with TB in 2003 in the TB Institute (dispensary), was sent to Sosnovka sanatorium, and was discharged, but after 2 months he felt worse and sought medical assistance. He is awaiting transfer to Mogilev TB hospital which has a psychiatric unit.
