Raul's story [1 Minute] - Treating a dual epidemic of TB and HIV in Beira, Mozambique

When Raul Carlos arrived at Beira Central Hospital (HCB) in March 2024, he was critically ill, co-infected with HIV and drug-resistant TB. Mozambique has one of the highest burdens of drug-resistant TB in the region, making access to effective treatment crucial. Thanks to MSF’s advocacy with local authorities, Raul was able to start second-line TB treatment. With the right care, his health is gradually improving.
