MSF response to IDPs in Barkin Ladi and Bokkos LGAs of Plateau state, Nigeria

Between 23rd and 25th of December 2023, several villages under Barkin Ladi, Bokkos and Mangu local government areas of Plateau state, Nigeria, were attacked by unidentified gunmen. These attacks claimed the lives of 200 people while displacing another 30,000.

Surviving the attacks but losing their houses, foods and means of livelihood, the people are now faced with so many needs. Many don’t have decent places to sleep, food, bathroom and portable water.

Consequently, Medecins Sans Frontieres has distributed 700 cartons of BP-5 compact food to 700 households in Barkin Ladi and Bokkos local government areas of Plateau state.
