Lebanon after ceasefire: MSF teams witness large scale destruction left behind by Israeli bombardments and incursions

After a ceasefire agreement was reached between Israel and Hezbollah on 26 November 2024, thousands of families that had been forcefully displaced by conflict started to return home to villages and cities in southern and eastern parts of Lebanon, often witnessing large scale destruction left behind by Israeli bombardments and incursions.
MSF teams in Bekaa and El Nabatieh governorates support affected communities with mobile clinics providing mainly primary healthcare and non-food items distributions, such as blankets, mattresses, or plastic sheets for broken windows, all of which are now essential for protecting people’s houses amidst harsh winter months.
