MSF teams in the town of Zurmi, in the Nigerian state of Zamfara, finalized the installation of a 240 kilowatt (KW) solar project at Zurmi General Hospital, ensuring a more stable and efficient power supply for life-saving medical services.



This means essential medical equipment will keep running, vaccines and medications will remain refrigerated, and overall patient care will improve. By transitioning to solar energy, MSF is not only strengthening healthcare delivery but also reducing its carbon footprint, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and innovative solutions in humanitarian work, and capacity building for the hospital to continue long-term.
