The functioning of the Geo Barents can be quite abstract for people who are not familiar with search and rescue activities, and photos or videos are not always the best tool to represent or explain places that are essential to the smooth running of its operations.

Cartoonist Lucas Vallerie joined the Geo Barents during two rotations during summer 2022, the peak time for attempt crossings in the central Mediterranean. The drawings he made during his stay aboard have been valued and appreciated by MSF followers on social media. This time, throughout ten drawings, he is taking the general audience to a virtual visit of the ship.

There are three versions available: English, French and International (without text and with the corresponding fonts to use). Please note that Lucas Vallerie has been commissioned for this project and drawings can be pitched to media outlets, in addition to being promoted through MSF social media pages.
