We came here from Jabal al-Zawiya, fleeing the war and shelling.

Many people in the camps rely on humanitarian assistance to survive

Currently, there are around 1,500 camps, in which more than 1.7 million displaced people live. Most of these families depend mainly on humanitarian aid that enters through the Bab Al-Hawa crossing point

MSF provides free medical care inside and outside the camps

MSF also runs water, sanitation and hygiene services in around 90 camps

But these activities, as well as the overall humanitarian response in the region might soon be compromised

On 10 July 2021, the UN Security Council cross-border resolution for the provision of humanitarian aid into the area will expire

If the Bab al-Hawa crossing point closes, the people will die, especially those who have a family, they will not be able to meet their basic needs. The people are destitute and have nothing I mean, whoever has a family would die
