Last week, after the fires that destroyed Moria camp, the EU Commission declared that there will never be another Moria again.
This was an absolute insult to the thousands of people still contained in abhorrent conditions across the Greek islands.
Right here, in Vathy camp, there are 4,500 people living in terrible conditions.
Rats, dirt, filth, scorpions, a lack of sanitation.
There are over 1,000 children here.
There are over 60 cases of Covid-19 in this camp and there is still no clear medical response plan in place.
There are many people who are specifically high risk to Covid-19 here because of their underlying health conditions or because of their age.
They must be evacuated now.
MSF continues to call for the urgent evacuation od these people from Vathy to the mainland to safe accomodation or in other EU states.
Enough is enough. No more means no more.
