Iran: six months of crisis, MSF expands care for excluded communities

Following the large-scale military escalation in late February 2026 on Iran, the situation is fragile and marked by considerable uncertainty. MSF teams have expanded activities in Tehran and continued to respond to growing medical needs in other areas where we work. Six months into the crisis, MSF continues to provide primary healthcare and mental health services to refugees, migrants, and other marginalised people. Between January and June 2026, MSF teams carried out 84,615 medical consultations, compared to 104,890 in 2025, amid rising health needs and limited access for vulnerable people excluded from the public health system.
