Displaced from Meiss al-Jabal, she spent two months living in tents in Dahye before learning about MSF's free healthcare services. She was forced to leave her home without any support and went days without enough food, even having to ask for help to feed her 14-year-old son Wissam, who has a speech impairment.

"My son asked for food, and I told him I had no money to feed him. What should I do?" she says. "No one cares about me. I went days without food or water. I could not even bathe.”
