I’m Doctor Anas
I’m a paediatrician
Working in an MSF neonatal unit in Irdib in the north of Jordan – near the
Syrian border.
And I wish that all the children could be protected with the pneumococcal
vaccine.
To help them not get sick.
But the government here can’t afford the vaccine
Due to its high cost and high price.

lute contre la malade du sommeil.
Eng: Hello, I’m Paul Beko. I’m a nurse working in a mobile medical unit to treat
sleeping sickness.
Cette maladie interesse le village isole ou l’acces aux instituts de sante est
difficile.
This disease affects people in isolated villages where access to health care is
difficult.
Nous sommes maintenant au village pour le depistage actif.
We are now in a village to do active screening for the disease.
La maladie evolue du stade un ou stade deux.
The disease develops from stage one to stage two.
Le stade deux est tres complique et le traitment aussi difficile.
The second stage is very complicated and the treatment pretty difficult.
Sans traitement, c’est la mort.
Without medicines, you will die.
Nous souhaiterions avoir un médicament à comprimé à courte durée sans
trop d'effets secondaires.
We are wishing for a short-term treatment based on tablets without too
many side effects. That’s what we’re hoping for.
On attend un test de diagnostique rapide qui permettra que l'on traite
directement les patients, on espère.

I’m Jackson Naimah and I worked with MSF during the Ebola crisis here in
Liberia, West Africa.
I wish we had had the vaccine to treat Ebola two years ago.
It would have saved so much suffering.
My wish is we can get an effective vaccine developed fast
to stop it ever happening again.

I’m a TB doctor with MSF here in Belarus.
I wish that many more patients with tuberculosis
Could get access to new and more effective TB drugs.
It would definitely save many more lives.

Hi, my name is Sara Goddard
and I work with MSF here in Bentiu (South Sudan)
in a Protection of Civilians camp protected by the UN.
There are more than 140 000 people who live in this camp
And many of these children suffer from so many different diseases.
If we had more diagnostic tests that could withstand the harsh conditions in
which we work
We could more quickly diagnose these kids
And get them the treatments they need faster
So that we can save more lives
And that would be awesome. Thank you.
