An oral treatment also exists. Whatever the case, clothing and bedding used by the infected person and those in their immediate environment must be washed at a temperature of at least 60°, dried in the sun and then left outside or sealed in a plastic bag for three days. Treating infected patients at the same time as the people around them and decontaminating clothing and bedding are crucial to breaking the disease’s chain of infection.
