“These people have been through all these hardships, and they arrive here believing that their children will start living a normal life; that’s why they took the risk. When they realize that this is not the case, their moral gets through a real shock. The fact that they see their kids doing nothing all day without being able to go to school and start living a life worth of their young age, is painful to parents. The fact that they can’t have some time without guarding their kids and are constantly afraid of whatever might happen to them under the rough conditions in the camp, is mentally and physically excruciating for them. They have no chance to organize themselves, to put their thoughts in order.”
