In recent years, MSF has invested in anti-stigma efforts, including the “Zwa Nga Bien” campaign (2017) with the Congolese rapper Lexuus Legal and local HIV activist group ‘Jeunesse Espoir’ (find under MSFSTO18521). This year, MSF continues its efforts to target the urban youth to pass positive messages and encourage testing for HIV. Using the Congolese public’s interest in the Football World Cup, this one-minute TV spot - which addresses HIV stigma and features well-known ex-international Congolese football player Shabani Nonda - will be broadcaste on the main domestic TV channels during the breaks throughout the World Cup season.

"Oyebi Score Na Yo?" (Do you know your score?) forms the basis of the TV spot. Like in many countries football is almost a religion in DRC. The video’s aim is to invoke the same feelings as when watching a thrilling match where you want to know the final ‘score’ as knowing an HIV test result. Through the friendship shown by the characters towards their friend diagnosed with HIV, the aim is to also emphasise that life is definitely not over if diagnosed with HIV and that treatment exists.
