Honduras has experienced years of political, economic and social instability, and has one of the highest rates of violence in the world. This has great medical, psychological and social consequences for the population. Besides that, many people flee from violence and poverty and enter Mexico with the hope of reaching the United States. To illustrate our work in Honduras but also at the border between Guatemala and Mexico we sent Felix Schaad, an award-wining and one of Switzerland’s best-known cartoonist to Tegucigalpa, Choloma and Tenosique. He spent 10 days in Central America observing, sketching and gathering stories of patients and MSF staff. The result is a four-page comic reportage that was published in the Swiss national daily newspaper Tages-Anzeiger end of April and a making-of video.
