Today is Monday the 12th of February 2024. I was awakened at midnight because of the bombing and couldn't fall asleep again. Around 5 a.m. there was a very strong airstrike and at the beginning I thought it was my home.
As you can see, this was supposed to be our door. Small area for kitchen. I was sleeping, me and my kids, just here.
There were a lot of things hitting my back, stones, wood.
Like everyone else, MSF staff are fighting to survive. In these conditions, working and helping people becomes dehumanising.
At that moment I felt nothing but pain, horror.

I have written the names of my children and my family on their wrists and their legs, so that we can be identified if we are bombed, and our place is destroyed 😭😭😭

I thought about doing this especially after we survived the next-door airstrike… But when I saw human body parts in my family’s backyard and flesh on the roof, I thought that it’s meaningless.

All the windows and doors have been broken. We lost a lot of things but at least we are alive.
But I know that if we didn't leave just now we will leave on the next airstrike.

A lot of people were murdered tonight. This is the house, it was full of people. They all have been killed. In cold blood.
The one who lives to suffer again and again and again will be the one who has been cursed and abandoned by all people all around the world. It's not fair and it's not justice.

I spend every night crying. Every day, it’s becoming harder to go on.

We are only civilians. I am a doctor, my husband is a doctor.
And we are suffering since day one of this war.
