Since the war started, until now I have been working non-stop, 24 hours, all the days.
It's really, really difficult. I haven't seen this kind of injuries and this severity of injuries during the previous wars.
There are severe cases, and all the injuries include burns.
Can you imagine receiving 100 or 200 patients a day, sometimes 500 injured patients a day?
And the problem now is becoming more difficult because many other hospitals have been evacuated. All the patients come to us.
And the patients that we see, the majority of them are female and children.
What hurt me most is when I saw a child, an innocent child, injured, and needing a major surgical operation because he lost his limb.
And he's the last child, he's the only remnant of his family.
When he woke up from anesthesia, he asked to see his family. This is really a heartbreaking situation.
The difficulties that we face here are the lack of supplies, the lack of instruments.
In the hospital, on normal days there are 300 patients. Now, there are more than 1,000 patients.
Many patients are homeless, because many of them are refugees in Gaza and others had their houses destroyed.
They don't have access to drinkable water.
There's a lack of food, a lack of electricity, and some people just left their houses with the clothes that they were wearing.
We know that we are in danger at any time, but we will keep doing the same.
