Additional Information / Shotlist A power struggle between two opposing military forces erupted in violence in early April.

It’s challenging to understand the sheer scope and complexity of the crisis in Sudan.
Weeks of gunfire, shelling, and airstrikes have trapped millions of people.

In some places, our healthcare projects are the only medical facilities still open.

Hospitals in Sudan are being attacked and looted, while also receiving an overwhelming amount of critical patients.

In this conflict, there is am influx of war-wounded patients who require trauma care.

These patients tend to fill any medical facility that is open.

But our teams also treat pregnant women in labour, patients with heart disease, chronic illnesses, cancer, and hemophilia.

In some parts of the country, intense fighting and looting have prevented us from carrying out our work.

Doctors Without Borders has not left, and does not plan to leave Sudan.

We have worked within the country since 1978

Doctors Without Borders supported hospitals continue to treat critical patients.

Medical supplies across the country are running low.

Our teams are working with healthcare facilities in the capital to provide essential medical supplies.

We are running mobile clinics to reach people who can’t reach us.

And we’re distributing essential relief items to people who have been displaced by the violence.

The situation is moving quickly, but we remain committed to providing emergency humanitarian care to people in Sudan.
