Following the rescue performed on 16 May 2023, the port of Brindisi has been assigned by Italian authorities to disembark the 26 survivors onboard the Geo Barents. More than two days and a half are needed to reach this port. In the meantime, the survivors are slowly preparing themselves for the disembarkation.
