She regularly visits the clinic for HIV testing and other services.

In recent months,
MSF has been developing
an innovative tool for people who want to know their HIV status.
 This is a digital tablet device, called the Pocket Clinic.
It provides pre- and post-test HIV self-testing for patients, including young women,
and engage them at their own pace.

The videos explain how to protect yourself from HIV infection if you are negative as well as what to do if you become HIV positive.
I found it quite exciting, the videos are exciting.

The Pocket Clinic provide medical support
and health education through
a user-friendly method.

It allows patients to engage to the self-testing journey
discretely and privately.

Our nurses usually live around the community. This can make you scared to go to the clinic because you imagine that you will be attended by a nurse that lives around you. And then you become scared to go to the clinic and find out that you eventually get sick. Yet with the tablet, you just get all the instructions which you can follow.

The Pocket Clinic is available in both urban and rural communities,
as well as two health facilities in the region,
making it easily accessible to those who need it.

As an older woman, I have great words of encouragement for other women.
There is a new method now, which makes it easy for you to accept your status and what to do next. When you get to the health facility, you don’t have to fear questions from the health care workers. The health care worker just gives you a tablet to watch videos and you get to decide what is best for your health.
