Over the past two months, attacks on energy infrastructure have severely limited the amount of power in homes. However, there has been a marked deterioration since the night of 07 to 08 January with widespread blackouts. While the blackouts are not absolute, they have cut off hundreds of thousands of people from heat and water, and we’re now seeing the impact of that in our patients, with some being treated for hypothermia, despite cuts in heating and running water.
