Only someone living in this situation, in a tent, can truly feel what we feel. Only those who live in tents. Anyone living elsewhere can’t fully grasp the feeling of what it’s like.

The suffering at night, the cold, eating food and finding sand in it, using the bathroom without comfort - every aspect.

ON SCREEN TEXT: As winter sets in, thousands of people in Gaza, forced to live in makeshift tents within overcrowded camps, now face heavy rains, cold temperatures, and ongoing bombardment.

What can I tell you?

I used to live in a house with three rooms, two living rooms, a kitchen, two bathrooms, a balcony overlooking the street, with nice decorations.

Back then, even during cold days when we were in a concrete house, we struggled to manage.

So imagine what it’s like in a tent. Picture this.

Look here. Look at the holes. When it rains, I grab the broom and start pushing the water away like this. Like this, all night long while it's raining.

Right, Ahmad? Bring it, like this, all night long. Water here, water there. Piles of water everywhere. What can I tell you? Look.

This is no life. No matter how much you talk about the suffering, you can’t truly describe it.
