Em Mohammad** and her daughter-in-law speak to us about their difficult decision to flee Syria, bringing nothing but the clothes on their backs. With Em Mohammad recovering from a recent heart surgery, the journey was especially hard, but uncertainty and fear left them no choice but to seek safety in Akkar, northern Lebanon.

MSF is providing primary healthcare through mobile medical teams in three locations in Akkar, supporting Syrian families who have fled amid ongoing insecurity.

Since 14th of March, MSF has provided more than 600 medical consultations.
