I’d like to invite you to an online event we’ll be holding this Thursday.

Five years ago, the UN passed Resolution 2286 [two two eight six] to protect medical care in conflict zones.

This came after outrageous and deadly hospital attacks in Afghanistan, Syria and Yemen.

But where do things stand now?

On Thursday, the 6th of May, together with my predecessor Joanne Liu, we will take stock, and consider the continued threats to patients, medical staff and medical facilities in conflict zones.
