Additional Information / Shotlist Drawing 1: My name is Zongo Ousseini, I’m an internally displaced person living in Kongoussi. I come from Silgadji, a town in the Soum province of Burkina Faso. My village was so beautiful and pleasant to live in, but unfortunately, armed conflicts have shattered this harmony. Silgadji, once a haven of peace, has experienced incursions by armed men so that our healthcare center was forced to close.
Drawing 2: With our healthcare center closed, we no longer had access to healthcare. It was a difficult time for us. As a father, I was worried that someone in my family could get sick during this time. Powerless, we had to find alternative ways to treat ourselves, including traditional practitioners and street medicines.
Drawing 3: In this chaos, my wife was pregnant, and her pregnancy required medical attention. I had to take her to Kongoussi on my motorcycle, about 80 kilometers from Silgadji. I did this despite the risks to her health and our safety. I had no choice; it was this or nothing.
