Additional Information / Shotlist People across Lebanon are facing a serious setback in their ability to access quality hospital care due to patients' financial constraints amid crisis, decrease in the value of state contributions, and emigration of health workers.

For the past 10 years, MSF teams have been focusing to fill the gaps in basic health services available in the Bekaa Valley. In recent months, MSF teams have witnessed an increase in people arriving at clinics in a critical condition and requiring hospitalisation. People are coming to our clinics with disorders that have progressed beyond regular management, because they are hoping to find alternative ways to manage their conditions without having to go to hospital, so as to avoid the costs.
