In the CAI, Fabiola has recovered in many ways: she got back her faith in humanity, the joy of living and resuming some of her dreams such as being a mother and dedicating herself to art. In the CAI, in addition to clinical care, workshops and occupational therapies are taught that seek to strengthen skills to build a life project.

Additional Information / Shotlist The Comprehensive Care Centre (CAI, in Spanish) in Mexico City for patients who have suffered from torture or extreme violence provides specialised attention for people - many of them migrants and asylum seekers - who have been harassed, assaulted, sexually assaulted and/or violated to such an extent that their physical and mental functionality is affected. The CAI is a possibility to recover and prepare for the future.
